We are excited to have several new staff members join us this year.

Ashley Carter, will be assisting Kiersten Edwards with the toddlers.  Ashley comes to us with several years of preschool work experience, and has filled in  here as a substitute teacher last year.  Ashley has already worked both summer camp sessions with Ms. Kiersten.

Lynn Davis will be co-teaching with Carolyn Matthews this year.  Lynn taught kindergarten in Buncombe County for 16 years, and we feel privileged to have someone with her experience here at Westminster.

Lea Blackwood, one of our preschool parents, will be teaching the three-year-old class with Becky  Tomlinson as her assistant.  Lea has taught in a Head Start program, and has also been a lead teacher at Mountain Area Child Center.

We regret that Kristine Arnold has taken a full-time job and will not be with us this year.  However, she found her own replacement!  Her friend, Amy Wheeler, will be teaching with Kristin MacLeod as her assistant.  Amy has taught at Mountain Area Child Care and at the Montessori Learning Center.  Her assistant, Kristin, has been a preschool substitute teacher here at Westminster, and has also  worked at Mountain Area Child Care.

Lynn Ingle and April Tate will once again be working with our two-year-old’s. All of our staff here at Westminster are looking forward to serving you and your children in a nurturing, safe, and fun environment.  Thanks for sharing your children with us.

If you have any questions you can call the preschool at 298-9167 or call me at home at 298-3705.  You can also reach me by e-mail at wpps@bellsouth.net.  See you in September!
